Icon Specialist Centre, previously Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgery Centre, owned by SunTech Medical Group was established in 2004 in Central Building and provided a high standard of consultation services, endoscopy examinations, colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. A second centre soon opened in Tsim Sha Tsui with both facilities providing a welcoming environment, equipped with the latest in treatment technologies and techniques. In 2019, SunTech Medical Group became part of Icon Group, Australia’s largest dedicated provider of cancer care with a growing reach into Asia and New Zealand.
The team is made up of some of Hong Kong’s most respected and experienced colorectal surgeons. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalised care to our patients every day. There are four centres in Hong Kong providing oncology services and colorectal surgery.
We treat a wide-range of colorectal conditions and walk alongside our patients throughout their treatment to provide a comprehensive and supportive service. We are also dedicated to increasing public awareness and knowledge of colorectal diseases and surgery to promote early diagnosis and treatment for such conditions. Our centres provide an intimate, friendly environment for our patients and their loved ones, combined with technology and evidence-based treatment options delivered by our caring medical team who are sensitive to the personal and cultural needs of our patients.

In the past three years the group has grown significantly now with 30 cancer centres in Australia (including radiation oncology centres, medical oncology centres, as well as integrated centres offering all aspects of cancer care), seven sites in Singapore, one in Mainland China and four clinics in Hong Kong as well as a joint venture in New Zealand and a service agreement in Vietnam. Icon continues to open more centres, with several radiation oncology centres underway in Mainland China and Australia continuing to provide more care to where it is needed.
With a strong focus on innovation and investment in technology based solutions, as well as partnerships with peak international bodies such as the Union for International Cancer Control, Icon is proudly at the forefront of addressing the global cancer burden.
